We felt so overwhelmed the first days of lockdown in Peru! The realization of having to close our office and travel operations for the rest of the year was hard to take in. But we had to do it for the sake of our community and our own. After the shock at AWT TITICACA PERU, we quickly made the decision to transform this crisis into an opportunity. We have stayed at home, we have taken care of ourselves, our families and we have reviewed our purpose and rearranged priorities. We have plans and we are excited about the fresh start!
At AWT TITICACA PERU we will continue offering travel experiences that allow us to learn from each other and leave long-lasting memories. We will share experiences where children, young and senior will learn from the ancestral wisdom of the Andean communities and enjoy reconnecting with the magnificent natural environment of our Lake Titicaca. Our activities will continue to be respectful of people and the environment. Now with more impetus and passion! We will transform tourism into ACTIVISM.

Lake Titicaca is a large, deep lake in the Andes on the border of Bolivia and Peru. By volume of water and by surface area, it is the largest lake in South America. Lake Titicaca is divided in two by the Peninsula of Copacabana: Lago Mayor (main lake) is the northern part and the Lago Menor (minor lake) or Lake Huyñaymarca is the southern part. Lake Titicaca has a surface elevation of 3,812 m (12,507 ft).
