Expeditors Consolidated their Costa Rica warehouse and office into a regional headquarters with 10,000 SM of warehouse and 2,500 SM of office. Their pallet position capacity increased by nearly 100% when compared to the old warehouse facility that they leased. The state-of-the-art facilities at LatAm Parque Logistico Coyol is enabling them to win new business at a fast rate and they are evaluating expansion possibilities with LatAm Logistic Properties in Costa Rica as well as Colombia & Peru. PriceSmart needed to re-configure its supply chain to a regional distribution model with FTZ capability in a facility that would allow a mix of high density storage with areas to conduct value-added processing. They also needed a container yard to accommodate large volumes of imports from Asia. LP was able to design a facility that accommodated all the customer’s needs coupled with an ideal location for regional distribution and local distribution, including e-commerce. Kraft Heinz needed improve its inventory turnover and rationalize costs by separating distribution activities from manufacturing.They sent an RFP for a 5,000 SM facility given their need to store 5,000 pallet positions, calculated using the market standard of 1 pallet position per SM.
