Families choose Greensboro Montessori School because our curriculum masterfully blends academic prowess with the development of skills necessary for a lifetime of achievement in a global society. Beginning at 18 months old, our students learn how to work and play in culturally diverse, multiage learning communities. The goal of their academic work is mastery, not test preparation, and their studies are augmented by a wide array of cultural programming. Our Toddlers enjoy weekly music lessons. Beginning in our Primary division, students receive weekly lessons in environmental education, Spanish, visual art, and world music. Beginning in first grade, students take additional classes in physical education, and beginning in third grade, students also receive weekly computer science lessons.
