Bear Mountain Lodge

Bear Mountain Lodge offers a lodging base west of Wellsboro along Route 6, surrounded by a more rural setting than the Main Street properties. The accommodation combines private bathing or hot-tub features with access to a common room. Breakfast follows the group's nontraditional format. A basket is replenished daily with items such as muffins, fruit, yogurt, juice and hot-drink supplies. There is no cooked breakfast or group dining service. This arrangement gives guests flexibility before cycling or visiting the gorge, while setting a clear expectation about hospitality routines.

The property does not accept pets, and check-in is published from 4 p.m. Travelers with mobility concerns should discuss the exact accommodation with the operator: the group's recommended ramp-access rooms are at Bear Meadows, a different lodge. Bear Mountain is best considered for its individual rooms, private relaxation facilities and countryside position.
