The Farmhouse Inn offers a countryside alternative to downtown Madison. The current operator describes twenty-six acres with a private two-acre stocked pond, farm animals and space for walking and birdwatching. This is accommodation for overnight guests: its FAQ explicitly excludes day visitors, so the pond should not be promoted as a public recreation attraction.
The room selection includes Hay Loft, Orchard Loft, Garden Room and River Room, along with an Americana Room marked accessible. Hillside Cottage and The Farmhouse provide larger alternatives for families or companions. The two houses have full-size refrigerators; individual guest rooms have mini refrigerators.
