Madison-Morgan Cultural Center

Madison-Morgan Cultural Center retains a school building as a place for learning while broadening what visitors can discover inside. The former Madison Graded School was completed in 1895 in Romanesque Revival style. Community efforts saved it from threatened demolition in the 1970s and repurposed it for arts, history and education.

Galleries, historical interpretation and a preserved classroom connect the building with Madison and the wider Piedmont region. The historic auditorium supports concerts, theater, lectures and other performances. A museum visit and an evening performance are different services: ordinary admission does not establish a ticket for every event on the calendar.

The institution celebrates its fiftieth anniversary in 2026. Its current calendar lists a Harvest Festival on October 24 and an Atlanta Symphony Orchestra holiday concert on December 17.
