Riverwalk Greenway follows the Eno River through Hillsborough. The city's current page describes approximately three miles between the Occoneechee Mountain area and the connection with Historic Occoneechee Speedway Trail. Its central section is part of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail, placing a local walk within a wider route.
Main access points allow different outings: downtown beside Eno River Parking Deck, Gold Park on Dimmocks Mill Road and River Park on East Margaret Lane. This flexibility is useful over several days, since approaching the river does not require completing the entire network each time.
The city describes an accessible urban corridor for walking, running and cycling.
