About Shorter Mansion
Shorter Mansion is a house museum in Eufaula’s Seth Lore-Irwinton Historic District. Its construction began in 1884 and a major renovation was completed in 1906; today, tours interpret the architecture and household objects. The visit helps visitors read the streetscape, but one historic private mansion cannot represent the community’s full history.
The official house page lists tours Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with adult admission at $10; children 12 and under and veterans enter free, according to the notice checked in September 2026. The house may close for private events. Confirm access before driving, especially if the trip depends on a tour.
