The operator traces the family-owned business to 1977 and describes cabins, hotel-style rooms, suites and private group lodges. This breadth makes the exact category more important than a general promise of a mountain retreat.

Wilderness Lodge King Junior Suites are described as adults-only, with electric fireplaces and private balconies. Mountain Laurel Inn offers bi-level king suites with a ground-floor bedroom, private Jacuzzi tub and upstairs loft, accommodating up to five in the specified layout. A family or traveler avoiding stairs should consider those differences before selecting a suite.

Many private cabins have hot tubs and fireplaces, but the individual cabin description determines what is included. Pet eligibility is limited to selected cabins, with advance notice, a fee and up to two small dogs. Pets are excluded from hotel rooms, suites and group lodges; a resort-wide pet-friendly label would conceal that restriction.

Check-in begins at 4 p.m. and checkout is at 11 a.m. Parking is complimentary for overnight guests. Dining and activities require their own arrangements, and a countryside stay means separate transport for downtown meals and museum visits. The operator calls some suites remodeled without supplying a completion date; that wording is not evidence of a new 2026 renovation.
